What is Unsloth AI?

Unsloth is a beginner-friendly, open-source tool designed for fine-tuning and reinforcement learning for a myriad of language learning models (LLMs) such as Llama 4, DeepSeek-R1, Qwen3, Gemma 3 and Mistral. It enables users to easily train and fine-tune LLMs, shortening the typically longer process significantly. Employing the Unsloth technology, users are able to manually derive compute-heavy maths steps and handwrite GPU kernels making the training process comparatively faster without any alterations to the hardware. The Unsloth system is compatible with various GPUs including the likes of NVIDIA GPUs from Tesla T4 to H100 and is also portable to AMD and Intel GPUs. This feature encourages extensive adaptability and provides scope for extensive usage. They offer free access to fine-tune using a single NVIDIA GPU on popular platforms such as Google Colab or Kaggle Notebooks. Furthermore, enhancing accessibility, a freeware standard version of Unsloth is also provided, along with a Pro and Enterprise variant offering faster training and reduced VRAM usage, among other features. Unsloth aims to make AI training simpler and enable users to run LLMs and training more smartly and with improved speed in order to overcome hardware cost increase and performance stagnation. They are also working on expediting inference speed. Among Unsloth's notable users are industries big names such as Microsoft, Nvidia, Facebook, NASA, and many more.
